Pillar Deep Dive: Embracing Effort – Tue, June 10th, 2025

June 10 @ 7:30 pm - 9:00 pm

Free

Our Pillar Deep Dives bring in expert voices to help us explore one of our core Pillars of Impact—whether it’s fatherhood, marriage, health, wealth, mindset, or vocation. In this session, we’ll dig into what it means to show up as a father when the weight of responsibility feels overwhelming.

We’ll be joined by Chas Neal, a Licensed Professional Counselor and owner of Man.Kind Counseling, who specializes in helping men move from frustration and apathy to confidence and strength..

During this interactive session, we’ll discuss:

  • Reframing effort: How our relationship with effort shapes our experience as fathers — shifting from seeing effort as a burden to recognizing it as a source of meaning, identity, and deep connection.
  • Burnout vs. commitment: How to hold the tension between showing up fully and feeling depleted. We’ll explore how to recognize burnout and keep giving without losing ourselves.
  • Anger and emotional reactivity: How a new relationship with effort can break cycles of frustration and anger—especially when we feel like we’re doing everything and it’s still not enough.
  • Good enough vs. giving up: How to honor limits and embrace rest without collapsing into apathy. We’ll discuss what it means to strive without perfectionism or guilt.

Chas will share parts of his own story and introduce mindset tools grounded in psychology and therapeutic practice—offering a framework for sustainable, fulfilling fatherhood.

The session will include group discussion and guided reflections to help you apply the insights directly to your life and leadership.
